Discovery Fine Chemicals Limited was founded in 2006 as a result of increasing demand by microbiology companies for established and new generation antibiotics for AST discs. Discovery were quick to establish a large range of more than 250 antibiotics and antibacterials to which were added complimenatary product groups like enzyme substrates (IPTG, X-GAL and ONPG) and carbohydrates (D-Arabinose, 2-Deoxy-D-ribose, Dodecyl-B-D-maltoside). Discovery soon broadened its sphere of activity into API’S, heterocycles (azaindoles, boronic acids, isoquinolines, pyridines, quinolines), peptide reagents and key biochemicals for the diagnostic industry (biological buffers, detergents, dyes and stains).

Today Discovery has established a solid reputation in the market place for innovative sourcing and affordable prices for more than 10,000 compounds. Discovery has a team of sales specialists with more than 100 years of combined experience and expertise across five continents. Discovery maintains excellent contacts with an exclusive inner circle of CRO’s capable of synthesizing complete families of synthons and building blocks for medicinal chemistry. Discovery markets and distributes the highest quality IPTG (dioxane free and animal free) and X-gal, using proprietary chemistry and high quality plant based D-Galactose.
